Following the motto Tempo 2027 we offer the special New Year's Eve experience, a New Year's Eve celebration where the way is the goal. Dare the extraordinary, travel in the historic train of the Reichsbahn in the new year.

The New Year's Eve special train, consisting of railway passenger cars from the 70, starts in Löbau. The journey leads via the access stations Bautzen, Bischofswerda, Radeberg to Dresden-Neustadt. After boarding the Dresden passengers, the special train crosses the Dresden Marienbrücke for the first time this night, 2 further journeys over the bridge will then follow.

The path is the destination, therefore the journey leads first to Coswig. During the journey we pass the Friedrichstadt freight station and the Niederwartha pumped storage power plant, whose lower storage lake is located directly next to the tracks. Then we cross the Elbe at Niederwartha.

After a change of direction in Coswig it goes back to Dresden-Neustadt, again the Marienbrücke and on over Pirna to Bad Schandau.

After a further change of direction, it goes again along the Elbe back to Dresden. At midnight we will “park” our special train on the Dresden Marienbrücke. Overlooking the historic old town of Dresden, you can admire the New Year's Eve fireworks of Dresden from an exposed position. Around 0:30 o'clock the special train starts the journey home towards Löbau.

During the trip, the participants will be deliciously pampered. Guests in second class receive a four-course meal. We welcome you with an aperitif. For the first hunger there is a small appetizer. The main course consists of variations from the buffet, e.g. small meatballs, schnitzels, small ham sausages, small Viennese sausages, various salads, served in a fresh-keeping box (changes possible). The menu is rounded off with a dessert and a small snack at a later hour. At midnight there is of course a small bottle of sparkling wine for everyone.

For the entertainment on the train, participation is required. In recent years, we have often been surprised by musical guests who provided individual entertainment with songbooks, guitars and accordions. We would be grateful for any information in this regard.
